Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is one of the world’s leading car manufacturers and North America’s big three with an estimated net worth of $14.99 billion. The company was merged in 2014 when Sergio marchionne engineered the merger idea between the two companies in 2009. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles owns more than nine car brands: Abarth & C., Alfa Romeo Automobiles, Fiat Automobiles, Fiat Professional, Lancia Automobiles, Maserati, Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep and Ram brands. The company also owns two companies under the components and production systems section Comau and Mopar. FCA also owned a 77% stake in the Italian large newspaper media company La Stampa which they divested from and returned capital back to shareholders in order to focus more on there companies in the automotive industry. The company created a five year plan to strengthen all brands under the FCA line up and focus strategically on the Jeep brand since its high visibility globally as well as the growing  SUV market in developing markets. The Ram brand will remain largely unchanged however will be redesigned after it’s five year term that we see today with their new models.
