About Anthony Longo

Anthony Longo is a family member of the Longo’s family and is the families grocer giants CEO with an estimated net worth of $250 million.

This title is a position he has held since 1998. Longo’s was established in 1956 by three brothers Gus, Joe and Tommy Longo. Under Anthony’s leadership Longo’s has expanded to have 37 retail locations and an e-commerce grocery delivery business – Grocery Gateway.

Anthony is known in the grocery industry for his leadership and commitment to lifelong learning. His passion for the industry and his community is reflected in the multiple boards he currently serves on including Humber College, which he is Board Chair, the Food Marketing Institute (FMI), the Grocery Foundation and GS1. He previously served on the board of the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers (CFIG) and was Board Chair for two years, ProAction Cops and Kids and the Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation.

In 2012, Anthony was awarded the Spirit of the Independent Award by the Canadian Federation of Independent Grocers. In 2013, Anthony was given the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal by the government of Canada. Most recently, in 2017, Anthony received the Retail Council of Canada’s Canadian Grand Prix Lifetime Achievement Award.

Anthony was born and raised in the Toronto area and graduated from Humber College with a Business Administration Diploma. Anthony and his wife, Gay, have three children, Thomas, Dayna and Daniel.
