Limited-Edition 2016 Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport Revealed

Ram has introduced another limited-edition pickup: the 2016 Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport. The new model follows a long line of special edition Ram pickups.

“The Ram 1500 Sport offers unique features for customers who enjoy aggressive styling and great performance,” said Mike Manley – Head of Ram Truck Brand, FCA Global, in a release. “Truck buyers are very attached to their vehicles and the Stinger Yellow Sport model adds a custom appearance to the segment’s best-looking truck.”

As its name suggests, the Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport is based on the 2016 Ram 1500 Sport trim with an eye-searing yellow paint job. The limited-edition model is available only on Crew Cab models with either two-wheel-drive or four-wheel-drive. In addition to the bright paint job, the Stinger Yellow Sport package features a vented sport hood, and dual exhaust with chrome tips. Two-wheel-drive models ride on 22-inch wheels, while four-wheel-drive models ride on 20-inch wheels.

All 2016 Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport models are powered by the automaker’s 395-hp 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 mated to the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission.

Inside, the Yellow Stinger Sport package adds Light Black Chrome accents and yellow details to the Sport model’s black leather interior. Yellow is used for the contrast accent stitching, Sport embroidery on the seats, Ram headrest logo, and on the sport mesh inserts on the black leather seats. The automaker’s 8.4 Uconnect system with navigation and rearview camera are also standard.

Production of the 2016 Ram 1500 Stinger Yellow Sport is limited to just 2,250 units and is priced from $44,340 (including $1,195 destination). The limited-edition pickups are scheduled to arrive at dealers in early May.
