McLaren P1, 675 LT Spider Head to Geneva With Extra Carbon Fiber

McLaren Special Operations will bring carbon fiber-themed versions of the 675LT Spider and P1 to the Geneva auto show.

The special 675LT, finished in Ceramic Grey, features “even greater levels of carbon fiber than the standard model.” The retractable hardtop boasts the weight-saving material, as does the lower plane of the longtail. This bespoke model also features Alcantara racing seats with Xenon Yellow contrast stitching as well as Solis gold detailing around the rotary handling and powertrain controls on the Active Dynamics Panel. And through the exposed engine bay, you can see a 24-carat gold heatshield around the car’s titanium exhaust.

The McLaren 675LT Spider makes its public debut in Geneva, although it’s already completely sold out. McLaren allotted only 500 copies worldwide, and after just a few weeks, they’re all gone. When we tested the 675LT coupe recently, it rocketed to 60 mph in 3 seconds flat thanks to its powerful 3.8-liter V-8 engine producing 666 hp.

As one last hurrah for the P1, McLaren Special Operations is debuting a special version that is almost completely naked in carbon fiber, featuring only a “Lio Blue” tinted paint. Other unique details on the model include gloss black wheels, black Alcantara trim with contrast blue stitching inside the cabin, and a 24-carat gold exhaust heatshield. Unlike the 675LT, McLaren had already made a full visual carbon fiber conversion available to customers earlier this year.

Along with the carbon fiber models, McLaren will also show the 650S GT3 race car in Geneva. The automaker will also reveal a new addition to the Sport Series family, possibly a 570S Spider.
