Oprah And Whoopi Goldberg Respond To Twitter Mix-up During Oscars

When beauty blog Total Beauty mistakenly tweeted a photo of Whoopi Goldberg with the caption “We had no idea Oprah was tatted, and we love it,” they probably weren’t expecting a response from either of the stars.

Despite taking down the original tweet after being called out on Twitter for their mistake, media at the Oscars picked up on the error and asked Goldberg how she felt about it.

“I could be compared to a lot worse people… as long as she’s not pissed I’m fine, ” “The View” host told “Entertainment Tonight.” Goldberg repeated the sentiment again this morning in a short segment for “The View.”

While it doesn’t look like Oprah was pissed, it definitely looks like she was confused. The former TV host’s best friend, Gayle King shared a photo of the lifestyle guru looking puzzled with the caption “@Oprah & favorite daughter watching #Oscars & seeing @totalbeautyeditors snafu! We all love @whoopigoldberg but we don’t all look alike Jeeeze!”

Clearly embarrassed by their mistake, Total Beauty is offering to donate $10,000 for charities on behalf of Goldberg and Winfrey, though neither has taken them up on this offer yet.

Using this #Oscars #SNAFU as an opportunity to donate $10k to @whoopigoldberg & @oprah’s charity of choice. #ThatsNotOprah #WeMeanIt— Total Beauty (@TotalBeauty) February 29, 2016
